Copyright at GravityPress
Authors keep their rights
Work published on GravityPress belongs to its author. Publishing here grants GravityPress only a non-exclusive license to print, fulfill orders, and show previews and marketing images. Copyright stays with the member — always.
Public domain editions
Members may publish editions of public-domain works (for example, texts sourced from Project Gutenberg). The underlying text remains in the public domain; such editions are labeled as public-domain editions with their source. A member's own genuine additions — introductions, annotations, cover design — remain theirs.
Provenance and AI assistance
Every product page states how the work came to be, including whether and how much an AI assistant was involved. Members attest to the copyright status and provenance of every work they publish.
Publication review
Every product a member submits is held for review before it goes live. A curator checks the copyright attestation — who owns the work, its public-domain source if it claims one, and its declared AI-assistance level — and approves or returns it with a note.
Reporting infringement (DMCA)
If you believe work published here infringes your copyright, tell us. Use the Report this product link on the product's own page (choose "Copyright / DMCA notice" — no account needed), or send a notice through Help & Support. Include: (1) the work you believe is infringed, (2) the URL of the product here, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
Our process: we review each notice, remove or disable access to material that a valid notice covers, notify the member who published it, accept counter-notices, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Registration of our designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office is in progress; this page will carry the agent's contact details when complete.
