Your work stays yours.
Open a store on GravityPress and sell your books, notebooks, zines, and journals as real printed objects — under your own name, your own brand, and your own copyright. Publishing here grants us only a non-exclusive license to print your orders and show previews. Nothing more, ever.
The arithmetic, in the open
You set the price. Printing is charged at cost — we add nothing to it. Our fee is a percentage of your margin, not the sale: if a book breaks even, we earn nothing. This calculator runs the same code that splits every real order.
Print costs shown are typical estimates; your product's exact print cost is shown before you publish. Shipping is paid by the buyer and passes through at cost.
How it works
- Make. Write and design in the Humanizer studio — or bring a finished work. Notebooks and journals can be designed right here in the builder.
- Publish. Open your store, set your price, attest to your rights (your copyright, a public-domain edition, or your own design), and submit. A person reviews every new product before it goes live.
- Sell. Buyers order; we print and ship on demand; your earnings accrue to your Stripe account. No inventory, no minimums.
Questions sellers ask
Do I give up any rights by publishing here?
No. You keep copyright. We receive a non-exclusive license limited to printing your orders, previews, and marketing thumbnails — you can sell the same work anywhere else, simultaneously.
What does it cost to open a store?
Nothing. No listing fees, no monthly fees. The platform fee applies only when something sells, and only to your margin.
Can I publish an edition of a classic?
Yes — public-domain editions (Project Gutenberg sources, for example) are a first-class product here. The text stays public domain; your introduction, annotations, and design are yours.
